    Homemade Takoyaki

    I love Takoyaki and have been thinking of making it at home, so when my sister-in-law gave me a Takoyaki pan (along with a packet of Takoyaki mix) for Christmas, I was over the moon! “Takoyaki” is “Octopus Balls”.. essentially flour batter filled with octopus pieces and tempura scraps then grilled in a Takoyaki pan til slightly crispy. When done right, the result is a piping hot, slightly crispy ball with a gooey, cheesy interior (I always add cheese!).  I don’t particularly like octopus, so the filling I use include shrimp, bacon, ham, sausage and lots of cheese!     Christmas meals: Of Italian food and celebrations

    Merry Christmas!  I haven’t been blogging alot because ever since I came back, I’ve been busy unpacking, sending clothes to the laundry, storing the pasta I brought back from Rome (haha!), settling issues with the lousy videographer I engaged for our wedding, and yes, racking my brains figuring out what Christmas gifts to buy for the family! I am sorry I haven’t been cooking very much.. thank goodness for foodpanda, the most exciting food delivery services I’ve tried.
